Managing Partner, Consonance Investment Managers

Bolaji (Mobolaji) Adeoye is the Founder and Managing Partner of Consonance Investment Managers, a Lagos-based investment firm launched in 2017. With roots in Nigeria and professional beginnings in the U.S., he began his investing journey at Farallon Capital after earning his degree from the University of Maryland. Under his leadership, Consonance has become a recognized early-staged and growth-equity investor in Africa, backing impactful enterprises across fintech, logistics, education, healthcare, entertainment, and more. The firm has deployed capital to around twenty companies—including Gebeya, VerifyMe, Pezesha, SeamlessHR, and Africa Foresight Group—combining investment with hands-on operational support and portfolio development. Their value-creation model includes business strategy consulting, governance support, and community-building initiatives like “Enterprise Island.”

Bolaji is a vocal advocate for tech-enabled African development, emphasizing that productivity gains rely on trust, collaboration, and innovation. He and his team champion ESG and gender equity, guiding startups to stronger governance and social impact. Beyond investing, he shares insights through writing and interviews and supports digitization efforts in the investment industry.
