Danladi Verheijen is the Co-Founder, Managing Partner, and CEO of Verod Capital, a leading African private equity and venture capital firm. Since founding the firm in 2008, he has played a pivotal role in building and scaling sustainable businesses across sectors such as education, financial services, infrastructure, and manufacturing. His earlier experience spans notable institutions including McKinsey & Company, Citibank Nigeria, and Ocean & Oil Holdings, where he held strategic and investment-focused roles.
A strong advocate for the growth of private investment in Africa, Danladi serves as Chair of the African Venture Capital Association (AVCA) and sits on the board of the Private Equity & Venture Capital Association of Nigeria (PEVCAN). He also holds board positions across several Verod-backed companies, where he continues to influence strategic growth and impact. His leadership has positioned him as a key voice in advancing entrepreneurship and long-term value creation across the continent.
Danladi holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Engineering-Economic Systems & Operations Research from Stanford University, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Calvin College. In recognition of his contributions, he was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and listed by Euromoney among Africa’s top rising stars in finance.
